It\u2019s always such a privilege to be appreciated by the students and educators we worked with!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve received a thank you letter from the Hiroshima Prefecture Sera Town Board of Education Superintendent, regarding the Sera Town Middle School overseas study trip we got to assist.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an English translation of the letter:<\/p>\n

Dear Mayumi Miyahara<\/p>\n

Hawaii Global Education Foundation Executive Director<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please accept our deepest gratitude for all the help and hospitality the Hawaii Global Education Foundation (HGEF) has provided during the Sera Town Middle School\u2019s Overseas Study Trip.<\/p>\n

Our pre-trip meetings with Ms. Miyahara were crucial, providing us with a clear set of guidelines to prepare for the trip.\u00a0 We were initially having a difficult time passing down our past experiences of going abroad, as COVID had brought a halt to overseas travel 3 years ago, but thanks to the HGEF\u2019s unsparing support our trip was a great success.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d also like to express my appreciation to Ms. Nikki and Ms. Serina who were there to support us on site.\u00a0 They would always have vital information ready to share, and always prepared to handle any situation we came upon.\u00a0 Not to mention they\u2019re such wonderful company!\u00a0 I\u2019d go on another trip with them again any time.\u00a0 Amazing work!<\/p>\n

After taking off from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on our final day, we connected in Haneda and safely landed in Hiroshima Airport.\u00a0 Though it was at the late hour of 10:20 pm, we were welcomed home by students\u2019 family, Board of Education staff, school faculty, and many others.\u00a0 The students were understandably very sleepy due to jetlag (making it 3 in the morning for them), but other than that they headed home as right as rain.<\/p>\n

I hope this belated letter of appreciation has found you well.<\/p>\n

Once again, thank you very much to everyone at HGEF.<\/p>\n
