{"id":1324,"date":"2023-11-13T00:00:33","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T00:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hawaiiglobal.org\/?p=1324"},"modified":"2023-11-24T01:43:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T01:43:09","slug":"japan-study-tour-for-ke-kula-kaiapuni-o-anuenue-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hawaiiglobal.org\/en\/japan-study-tour-for-ke-kula-kaiapuni-o-anuenue-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan Study Tour for Ke Kula Kaiapuni O Anuenue #1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six 8<sup>th<\/sup> grade students (Kahele, Hiilani, Haupu, Sanoe, Lanakila, and Ikaika), Principal Yim, and Kumu (teachers) Kehau &amp; Nakuina made the first international study tour in nearly 30 years of the school\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The group first went to Shiraoi Town in Hokkaido on 10\/4-6\/23.\u00a0 They visited the Upopoy National Ainu Museum and Park where they learned the indigenes history and culture of the Ainu in Hokkaido.\u00a0 Ainu people have similar history and challenges the native Hawaiians have.
