{"id":1408,"date":"2023-11-17T12:00:57","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T12:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hawaiiglobal.org\/?p=1408"},"modified":"2023-11-24T01:49:42","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T01:49:42","slug":"hawaii-fukuoka-highschool-basketball-friendship-exchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hawaiiglobal.org\/en\/hawaii-fukuoka-highschool-basketball-friendship-exchange\/","title":{"rendered":"Hawaii-Fukuoka Highschool Basketball Friendship Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">HGEF planned, managed and interpreted for the Hawai-Fukuoka Highschool Basketball Friendly Exchange Mission, that took place in Fukuoka prefecture between November 8th to 16th, 2023.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the help of the Fukuoka prefecture Sports Agency and the Kyushu Sangyo University(KSU), we were able to have 30 students from Hawaii\u2019s James Campbell Highschool and 12 students from St. Louis University participate on this mission. Our deepest gratitude goes out too everyone who was there to help.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The students from Hawaii played against local teams from Ohori Highschool the winners of the winter cup, Wakaba Highschool girls team, and the Munakata Highschool. We were warmly greeted by other officials including assembly chairman Kahara, assembly member Kurauchi, and assembly member Haranaka. In the afternoon we visited the Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine, and watched a match of the Grand Sumo Tournament.
