Ke Kula Kaiapuni O Anuenue (Anuenue) has taken the second trip to Japan in October 2025. After the 2023 Japan Study Tour, Anuenue has formed a music group, consisting of 8th and 10th grade students, and practiced for performances in public. Therefore, the participation in the Hawaiian Festival in Fukuoka on 10/5/25 at Hakata Bayside Place was the main event during the trip.
They were fortunate to be welcomed by three (3) different schools in Fukuoka: Kanada Gimu School in Fukuchi Town, Jyoyo Hokuzei School in Yame City, and Kego Junior High School in Fukuoka City. Anuenue students enjoyed a day at each school by participating in lessons, eating school lunch with host students, and cleaning the school.
Anuenue students performed oli, mele, and hula wherever possible during the trip. No matter who the audience was, they were so impressed by the quality of the performance and appreciated the opportunity to experience the authentic Hawaiian culture.
