Tezukayama School’s Global Education Program

HGEF has supported Tezukayama Junior & Senior High School’s Global Educations since pre-pandemic times.
Students of the Tezukayama Junior High School have been visiting Hawaii every March over the years. In May this year, a Hawaii State Junior High School made a friendly visit to the Tezukayama Junior High. We’re pleased to share the following article by the Yomiuri Newspaper, which covers the story of their international exchanges.

The article introduces the Tezukayama Junior & Senior High School’s Global Career education programs, set to cultivate global leaders of the next generation.
In March this year (2024), their students attended the Hawaii Science Camp, where they enjoyed educational activities and got to work with students from Mililani School.
Later, several Mililani students visited Japan where they were welcomed by Tezukayama student host families.
Teachers talked about how these exchanges are great opportunities for students to hone their skills to work in the global community and shared their plans on working with more schools in the coming years.
