From Hokkaido, the group took a flight to Hiroshima to visit the Peace Memorial and Miyajima Island. It was a three-day long weekend due to a Japanese holiday, and it was crowded!
Our English tour guide told us the history and significance of Miyajima Island, and we were greeted by and were able to take a photo with one of the friendly ambassadors of the island.
We also experienced the Shinkansen ride from Hiroshima to Hakata (Fukuoka) the next day along with Complex Area Superintendent (CAS) Dilwith and Kaahumanu Elementary School Principal Hall.
