The last destination for this trip was Fukuoka. We walked and walked and walked…. The daily average steps during the tour was about 12,000 – 13,000 steps a day! To top it off, we even took a walking tour of the Tenjin-Nakasu-Kawabata area.
The school visit in Fukuoka was hosted by Kego Junior High School in Fukuoka City. The students experienced a whole day, just like Japanese students, from the morning homeroom, to school lunch, and even classroom cleaning. Principal Horisawa graciously arranged for all of them to enjoy calligraphy and origami sessions, and the students even got to try on the Kendo gear and had a quick lesson on the steps and Shinai swing, just like a Samurai!
