I hope this letter finds you well.
First, please allow me to send my deepest condolences to all the victims of the Maui fires. I can only imagine the hardships they are going through.
I would like to thank you very much for welcoming our Edogawa Ward delegation team “The Wings of Youth (Seishounen no Tsubasa)” into Honolulu.
I must also thank you for your hard work planning and organizing the study program for the delegation.
This trip was surely a precious experience for all the high school and middle school students of the delegation. Learning about the environment and culture of your city, talking with your college students, living and bonding with their host families, shall all be experiences they’ll treasure for their lifetimes.
I hope that this delegation is the first step to bridge our ward and your city, and the beginning of a long history of friendly relations.
And with your immeasurable kindness, you even prepared gifts for us to take home. We reminisced the Hawaiian skies as we treated ourselves to them. They were quite delicious.
We wish all the people of Honolulu good health and further growth in times to come, and once again, thank you very much.
